Optek Introduces OVM4x Color LEDs for Industrial Applications

TT electronics Optek Technology has introduced new color LEDs called the OVM4x series for industrial and military applications. The LEDs offer military systems designers the capability to attain bright color lighting and indication with clear patterns.

OVM4x Series Color LEDs

The high-sensitivity color LEDs are available in yellow, red, green, and blue colors, and have an integrated electrostatic discharge protection in a hermetically sealed TO-46 package. The visible LEDs have an 18° viewing angle and are fitted with a clear glass lens.

Indium gallium nitride (InGaN) was used to develop both blue and green LEDs that exhibit a dominant wavelength of 2260 and 6520 mcd and a typical luminous intensity of 460 - 470 and 520 - 540 nm at IF of 20 mA, respectively.

Aluminum indium gallium phosphide (AlInGaP) was used to develop both red and yellow LEDs that have a dominant wavelength of 619-629 and 584-594 nm and a typical luminous intensity of 3330 and 2010 mcd at IF of 20 mA, respectively.

The OVM4x LEDs have a 100 mA continuous forward current with a 1.6 A peak forward current rating at 10% duty cycle.
