Provider of laser-based solutions, Coherent has rolled out a new HighLight FAP 60/810 turnkey diode laser system that offers an output power of 60 W at 810 nm.
The HighLight FAP 60/810 system offers enhanced reliability, convenience and process uniformity for high throughput, demanding applications like FRIT welding OLED displays.
The system provides improved output characteristics such as a swift risetime of less than 50 ms and high power stability. It also has a four-lens imager that allows variable magnification and an irradiance profile on the work surface.
The HighLight FAP 60/810 laser system uses a fiber delivery system that reduces the cost of ownership in adverse industrial settings. The 15 m delivery fiber is connected to the laser source through standard connectors and can be swiftly exchanged if damaged. The system value is improved by using an integrated monitor that shuts down the diode immediately if it identifies back-reflected light. The laser system is also reliable and provides longer lifetime.
The HighLight FAP 60/810 system is typically used for FRIT welding OLED screens for smart phones. The OLED screens are developed as glass-OLED-glass sandwich in huge panels. The laser is utilized to combine the rear and front glass plates together before device singulation. The system is also utilized for plastic welding and soldering.
