FFT’s Australian headquarters in Mulgrave was recently visited by the Hon. John Lenders, Treasurer and Minister for Information and Communication Technology.
The Minister was shown a presentation on FFT’s capabilities, its groundbreaking fibre optic technology and the role its products play in intrusion detection and security of critical infrastructures. In addition, the Minister heard about FFT’s success in the export market.
FFT’s export success was recognised formally with two separate awards at the 2009 Governor of Victoria Export Awards ceremony. FFT won the Small to Medium Manufacturer section and was commended in the Innovation Excellence category.
The company’s latest perimeter protection product, Secure Zone™, has also been recognised at an awards ceremony held during ISC East in New York City, receiving the Government Security News Award for ‘Best perimeter protection product (excluding video)’.
“The competition was stiff, and our panel of independent judges had to make some very tough choices, but we think we’ve identified the ‘best of the best’ for 2009,” said Jacob Goodwin, the editor-in-chief of GSN: Government Security News, who oversaw the evaluation process.
ISC East ran from October 28 to 29, when company representatives were on hand at the company’s new state of the art booth (see pictures below) to explain the technology behind FFT’s unique products, including the award winning Secure Zone™.
