iMD Companies Announces Launch of Own US-Assembled Hydroponic Lighting Product Line

iMD Companies, Inc. today announced that the company is launching their own US-assembled Hydroponic lighting product line. The lighting products represent the first in a series of planned hydroponics related product releases, which correspond to the company's opportunities in the commercial grow facility sector.

"Our long-term strategic plan is coming together nicely and the lighting products are just the start," said Jim Filkins, Vice-President of iMD Companies. "A line of products featuring items such as nutrients, full indoor garden kits, and other products essential to growers are on the way. We have focused on establishing relationships and demand in both the distribution and reseller tiers of the fast growing mainstream segment of the industry."

The focus now, however, is on the explosive component market of hydroponics. The hydroponic lighting market reached an estimated $617 million in sales in 2014 with growth estimated for 2015 at 15% - 20%.

Larry Robertson, President of iMD Companies, notes that there is a share of the market ripe for the taking and he takes incredible pride in the manner in which these iMD products are made. Given that most of the hydroponic equipment currently is imported from China, Robertson sees a golden opportunity to market a "homemade" line of products.

"Growth in the hydroponic equipment market is occurring so rapidly that there are no companies with a dominant share of the market," Robertson said. "We also have the favorable advantage of offering products that are either "assembled in the USA" or "Made in the USA" and it is widely acknowledged that the majority of US citizens prefer to buy these products when given the opportunity.
