Lumenera, together with Tamron, declared that Lumenera’s Lu375C camera integrated with Tamron’s M12VM412 CCTV lens has received the Federal Information Processing Standard Publication 201 (FIPS201) certification.

FIPS 201 is a United States federal government standard which stipulates PIV requirements for federal contractors and employees. Following its introduction, FIPS201 resulted in the standardization of biometric processing for electronic credentials that have application for logical and physical access control solutions.
The Lu375C is a USB 2.0, 3.1 MP color camera has the potential of being ideally used for various industrial and security applications that need high resolution at an affordable price. A USB 2.0 digital interface ensures uncompressed images in still image captures and live streaming video. This camera includes 2048x1536 resolution and on-board processing and provides excellent image quality and value.
Having a focal length of 4-12 mm, the Tamron M12VM412 CCTV Lens offers high quality imagery and is ideal for cameras with a ½-in imager-sized Lumenera’s Lu375. An f/1.4-close aperture range ensures clear and crisp images in low-light conditions. The hybrid aspherical elements of CCTV lens enable the minimization of various optical aberrations that results in high optical quality. It consists of a focus range of 0.3 m, manual iris, and zoom and focus with lock, and in air back focus of 9.05 mm (wide) to 18.90 mm (tele). The lens surface includes multi-coating to reduce ghosting and flare in backlit conditions.
