A new series of high voltage LED, LUXEON H has been launched by Philips Lumileds. The LUXEON H, with exclusive performance improvements, meets the ENERGY STAR specifications for light quality, light output and efficiency.

It offers optimal performance at a CCT between 2700K and 3000K with minimal 80 CRI and better quality of light. A single 3 step MacAdam Ellipse color space without flux bin and Vf bin at a color over angle of 0.02 du’v is present in the LED. It is hot tested at a Tj of 85°C and has an efficiency of about 90 lm/W at 40 mA, 100 V. A typical flux of 320 – 660 lm at 20 – 90 mA and 100 V or 200 V makes it a real time performer.
Rahul Bammi, VP marketing, Philips Lumileds, stated that LUXEON H provides excellent light quality and offers a realistic solution for GU10 and other tiny bulbs.
The LUXEON H is manufactured as a single LED solution, which is most advantageous than other LEDs. The production cost is reduced significantly due to the presence of solderless assembly parts. Future lighting Solutions provides accessories for LUXEON H that include optics, clamps and drivers. In March, the LUXEON H will be released.
