Cree Introduces Industry's First Lighting-Class LED Array

Provider of LED lighting solutions, Cree has introduced a new lighting-class LED array called Cree XLamp CXA2011 LED array, the first of its kind in the industry. The LED array is developed to provide uniform color and flawless light output required for directional downlights and omnidirectional bulbs.

At 85° C of operating temperature, the CXA2011 LED array offers up to 4000 lm in an individual component. It comes in 2- and 4-step EasyWhite choices, offering the optimum LED-to-LED color reliability. Thus, it decreases the complexity of the system, facilitating easy selection of light source like that of a color temperature.

The CXA2011 LED array's user-friendly screw mounts facilitate the design and production methods by eradicating the requirement for reflow soldering and intricate designs. Currently, the LED arrays come with normal lead times. According to Jason Lee, President at Gama Illuminer, the CXA2011 LED array is a plug-and-play system that offers high color consistency, efficiency and brightness with real-world 85° C criteria.

According to Mike Watson, who works as Senior Director of Marketing for LED components at Cree, the CXA2011 LED array allows the company's customers to produce an extensive range of designs based on LED by facilitating ease-of-production and quick and versatile system design. Faster market-reach time and reduced system price are important to speed up the growth of LED lighting, he added.
