Planar Systems Introduces Slim LCD Display with Remote Access Feature

Planar Systems displayed its 82” LCD display at the 2011 Digital Signage Expo held at Las Vegas.

Meant as an easy-to-service display for digital signage applications and advertising in public places, shopping malls and airports, the slim Planar d82L has a depth of only 3.9”.

The slim device is suitable for high-traffic areas and makes the best use of limited available space while its protective glass and metal design ensure durability. It offers a lockable, flip-panel access to its AccessConsole, enabling easy access to its electronics. Additionally, the RS-232 controls and built-in network allow system remote accessibility to monitor and control settings.

An isolated LCD and AccessConsole device enable streamlined installation and even the heaviest module weighs approximately 70 pounds lighter than other comparable display model.

Planar Systems’ Vice President of marketing, Jennifer Davis stated that the Planar d82L was designed to minimize maintenance and installation costs.
