Cree Launches XLamp MT-G LEDs for MR16 Retrofit Bulbs

Cree announced that it has introduced a new range of LED lighting solutions for small form-factor, high-output directional lighting applications.

The XLamp MT-G LEDs are ideal for 35 to 50 W halogen MR16 retrofit bulbs and other down lighting applications utilized in landscapes, hospitality, art galleries, museums, residential settings and retail stores.

The XLamp MT-G LED has EasyWhite technology to offer constant color in a highly efficient package. The device has been tested at a temperature of 85º C. This facilitates in accelerating the time-to-market and simplifying the luminaire design calculations. The unit has a 9x9 mm footprint and delivers a brightness of 560 lm at a temperature of 85°C in warm white lighting.

Cree’s Director of Marketing, Paul Thieken stated that the company developed the lighting solution to address the directional lighting applications. He added that the LED solution would revolutionize lighting solution in high-profile markets.
