Cree Launches XLamp CXA20 LED Array for LED Light Manufacturers

Provider of LED lighting solutions, Cree announced that it has introduced a new lighting-class LED array called the XLamp CXA20. The LED array consumes a minimum power of 11 W and has been specifically designed to speed up the LED lighting market.

The CXA20 LED array features a 2-screw attachment, a compact footprint of 22x22 mm, and a uniform optical source. It can simplify the production procedure for consumers who need a single unit in the light engine design.

Luminaires that are based on LED array deliver 38% more lighting when compared to a 100 W incandescent bulb or a 26 W CFL bulb. They also consume only 14 W of power.

The CXA20 LED array offers 200 lm at 27 W or 1050 lm at 11 W with a warm white color temperature of 3000 K. Cree has planned to manufacture the LED arrays from 2011.

Vice-President of Cree, Norbert Hiller stated that the company continues to delivers a wide range of LEDs to the market. He added that the CXA range of LED arrays could be a suitable solution for lighting manufacturers who are seeking to simplify the manufacturing and design of indoor LED lighting systems.
