MRV Communications™, Inc., a global provider of innovative packet and optical solutions for service providers, data center operators and enterprises, announces that Cross River Fiber, a New Jersey-based fiber optic and telecommunications service provider, has selected MRV’s solutions to light its dark fiber network.
By leveraging MRV’s cutting-edge packet and optical technology, Cross River Fiber will effectively transform from a dark fiber provider to a managed network provider.
Cross River Fiber will utilize MRV’s OptiDriver® optical transport solution to interconnect its footprint with third-party providers to expand its capacity between New Jersey and New York City. MRV’s OptiSwitch® Carrier Ethernet platform will also be deployed to enable its managed connectivity offering for carrier access and targeted enterprise vertical sectors. The combination of MRV’s OptiDriver® and OptiSwitch® solutions allow Cross River Fiber to offer high-density performance with low power consumption. In addition, MRV’s solutions boast simplified “plug-and-play” access, thereby allowing for easy accommodation to the array of Cross River Fiber’s customers’ unique needs.
MRV’s technology will enable Cross River Fiber to simplify its operations and at the same time streamline new high-capacity services at all rates over the same network. The state-of-the-art design delivers outstanding total cost of ownership and end-to-end transport solutions for customers with various connection requirements. Cross River Fiber will now support enterprise customers with Ethernet, OTN and SONET requirements. MRV will provide complete packet and optical integration for Cross River Fiber that simplifies turn-up and offers greater visibility to support critical service-level agreements (SLAs).
