A macro lens and wide-angle accessory lens kit are now available for the uEye XC USB 3.0 industrial camera from IDS (Imaging Development Systems GmbH). This opens up new application possibilities for this high-resolution (13 megapixel) autofocus industrial camera. The macro lens allows close-up imaging from about 3-5 cm, and the wide-angle accessory kit increases the field of view by a factor of 1.4.
IDS XC + Lens Accessories
The combination of the macro accessory lens and the uEye XC allows detailed object inspection. The standard uEye XC can focus to about ten cm working distance. The addition of the macro accessory lens allows close range between imaging between about three and five cm, making it perfect for use in medical applications such as skin cancer screening.
The wide-angle accessory lens kit is supplied complete with the macrolens to which it attaches. The wide-angle lens kit expands both the focus area from 3 cm to infinity and the field of view by a factor of 1.4 for the uEye XC. The standard field of view of the camera is approximately 53° in video mode. The addition of the wide-angle accessory lens kit increases this to greater than 74°, making it ideally suited for room monitoring and access control.
The versatile 13 megapixel XC camera delivers individual images with a resolution of 4192 x 3104 or 4128 x 3096 pixels or live recordings of different sizes up to full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) with a maximum frame rate of 30 frames/sec. With numerous automatic features usually found only on commercial digital cameras, hardly any manual adjustment of settings is required. The camera is ideal for use in varying lighting conditions or for dynamic shooting situations. Applications include medical technology, kiosk systems, surveillance, transportation and logistics.
