Digital Lumens Awarded Six New Patents for Innovations in Intelligent LED Lighting

Digital Lumens, the leader in intelligent LED lighting, today announced it has been awarded six new patents, including its first international patent granted by Australia. This brings the company’s total awarded patents to 20.

The advancements covered include a wide range of technologies embedded in the Digital Lumens Intelligent Lighting System, an enterprise-scale LED lighting solution that delivers operational visibility and dramatic energy efficiency to customers worldwide.

"We are pleased that our innovations in intelligent lighting have been recognized by the U.S. Patent Office and IP Australia," said Brian Chemel, co-author of the patents and CTO of Digital Lumens. "In particular, our first international patent -- combined with our expanding international footprint -- are further validation of the importance of our technology to the global lighting market.”

Covering more than 100 million square feet of space across 35 countries, the Digital Lumens system is a wireless network of intelligent LED fixtures that leverages the Internet of Things to gather sensor and power meter data for ongoing operational insight, and a broad range of energy and building intelligence. LightRules, Digital Lumens' facility-based lighting management system that is at the core of the Intelligent Lighting System, is a web-based application that provides access to lighting and operational data with flexibility and full reporting capabilities.
