Sierra-Olympic’s New Viento 640™ Thermal Camera for Surveillance, Diagnostics, & Military Imaging

Sierra-Olympic Technologies introduces the Viento 640 camera family. The Viento 640 follows the earlier introduction of the Viento 320 products.

The new Viento thermal imager features a 640 x 480 x 17 um uncooled vanadium oxide FPA in either a 30 Hz version, or a 9 Hz version for easier export. Viento 640 delivers the highest quality thermal imagery in its class in a convenient, rugged package with industry-standard connectors. Customers are not required to buy custom connectors and crimpers to interface to Viento.

Reasonably priced and now available for easy purchase online, the new camera features user-selectable NTSC or PAL analog or 14-bit/8-bit Camera Link® digital outputs.

Camera control is via either USB or RS-232 serial. Extremely intuitive to operate and integrate into new or existing systems, it is ideal for general thermal imaging tasks and a host of other applications.

Viento 640 is available with 8 athermalized optics options including 6 degree HFOV, 9-degree horizontal field of view (HFOV), 12-degree HFOV, 17-degree HFOV, 24-degree HFOV, 37-degree HFOV, 44-degree HFOV, and  90-degree HFOV. The Viento640 spectral response range is from 8 to14 microns.
