Designer of optical devices, Ekinops has unveiled a range of Layer 3, 2, and 1 Ethernet routing and switching solutions that extends from the edge of the network to the core. The company has collaborated with an Ethernet routing and switching provider and is providing customers with a solution that covers optical transport and switching.
The Ethernet solutions will be exhibited at the WDM & Next Generation Optical Networking exhibition that will be held in Monaco. The routing and switching solutions are based on an established technology, which has numerous ports installed all over the world. This allows the company to resolve the optical transport, routing, and switching needs of the enterprise IT networks, data centers, wireless carriers, and service providers.
The solutions are MEF certified and provide operational simplicity. The versatility of the solutions enables customers to select the required transport, routing, and switching capacities. The solutions address a wide array of applications such as quad or triple play, carrier Ethernet, business Ethernet services, and wireless backhaul applications.
The Layer 3 and 2 capabilities include Ethernet switching, Carrier Ethernet, IP routing, VPLS, and MPLS. The solution set incorporates a combined management capability that focuses on fault, configuration, accounting, performance, security and service-monitoring.
