Toshiba Imaging Systems Division will display the IK-HR1 and the IK-HD1 high-definition cameras at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) trade show, which will be held in Las Vegas from 11 to 14 April, 2011.
Toshiba's IK-HR1H is a CMOS-based camera that features a tiny remote head in a 1.18”x1.37”x1.41” housing. It is available in two versions, the IK-HR1CD and the IK-HR1CS. The former offers a DVI-I with selectable outputs of 720p at 60 fps, 1080i at 30 fps and 1080p at 60 fps as well as an 8-bit RGB DVI-I connector. The latter is a compact remote-head CMOS model with HD-SDI outputs of 720p at 60 fps and 1080i at 30 fps.
Toshiba’s HD, remote-head cameras are being used to capture feature film background plates and 3D imagery in several TV, sports, drama, documentary, film and Internet productions.
Polecam will co-exhibit with Toshiba to demonstrate the HD cameras at the trade show.
