Manufacturer of IR and visible LEDs, Opto Diode has signed an agreement with the Minnesota-based distributor of electronic components, Digi-Key, for the global distribution of its products.
Opto Diode manufactures various products including optoelectronic assemblies, LED arrays, and GaAlAs (gallium aluminum arsenide) and silicon photodiodes.
The applications of Opto Diode’s products include aviation lighting, vending machines, LED-enabled tracking devices for surgery, ophthalmology, guided missile systems, industrial and medical fluorescence, and photoelectric controls.
Semiconductor VP of Digi-Key, Dave Doherty stated that the collaboration with Opto Diode confirms their dedication to offer a wide range of electronic components to their consumers worldwide. The General Manager of Opto Diode, Russ Dahl noted that they are looking forward to the benefits of the partnership.
